THRISSUR: A youth attempted to kill a girl by slitting her throat in Thrissur. The incident happened on MG Road. Vishnu, a native of Methala, Kodungallur tried to murder the girl. The locals caught him and handed him over to the police.

Vishnu stabbed the girl on the neck and shoulder using shaving blade. The girl was admitted to Thrissur District Hospital. The injury is not serious. Initial information is that love failure is the reason behind the attack. The police said that the accused was drunk. The incident took place around 6 pm.
