THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rain continues in the state. Yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad. The Meteorological Centre has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places.
The Central Meteorological Department said rain is likely to lash at isolated places in all districts of Kerala in the next three hours. Heavy rains are likely to intensify in hilly areas today. Extreme caution should be exercised in areas that have received heavy rainfall in the past few days. Fishermen should not venture into the sea.
The Central Meteorological Department has informed that rain with thunder and lightning is possible at isolated places in Kerala till September 8. Yellow alert has been sounded tomorrow in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
