NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old youth killed his mother and later committed suicide due to depression from unemployment. The incident happened on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Mithilesh and his mother Kshitij, natives of Delhi.

Mithilesh died by slitting his neck. Police said that he killed Kshitij three days before committing suicide. A 77-page suicide note, believed to be written by Mithilesh, was also found from the spot. It is written in the letter that he is unemployed and suffers from depression. Neighbours informed the police when they sensed a foul smell coming from the house. Then the police reached the spot. The house was locked from inside. When they broke the door and entered, they found Mithilesh's body lying in a pool of blood. Kshitij's dead body was found in the bathroom. The police said that only the two of them lived in the house and Mithilesh was single.
