THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A solution has been found to the crisis witnessed in KSRTC. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had assured to clear the salary arrears. Unions informed that during the discussion, the chief minister assured them that two months’ salary would be given tomorrow.
The salary of July and August will be given tomorrow. The chief minister also assured that the government will try to pay the salary by the 5th of every month. CITU said the talks with the chief minister was a success.
Meantime, Transport Minister Antony Raju informed that 12-hour single duty will be implemented in a phased manner from next month onwards. The duty will be implemented on a trial basis for six months. Unions have made it clear that they will not accept single duty. The CITU accused the transport minister of misleading the chief minister.
