THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Beverage outlets in the state will not be open on Thiruvonam day (September 8). This was stated in a circular issued by Bevco. Meanwhile, all the bars in the state will remain open on Thiruvonam day as well. It is reported that more counters will be opened at Bevco outlets today and tomorrow, which is Uthradam day, considering the holiday. This is because it may experience heavy congestion.

Bevco has set up counters and premium counters across the state to sell liquor. Beverages has 265 shops across the state. Bevco outlets were closed on Thiruvonam day in previous years as well.
