MALAPPURAM: A passenger has been arrested in Karipur with more than 101 sovereigns of smuggled gold concealed inside his rectum. The arrested person is Koduvally native Usman. The accused arrived in Karipur on the Bahrain flight this morning. Customs found the smuggled gold through X-ray inspection.

808 grams of gold was concealed inside the 29-year-old passenger's rectum in the form of three capsules. Customs had received a tip-off that Usman was smuggling gold. Following this, the Customs were monitoring his movements as soon as the flight landed.
