NEW DELHI: The 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi started on September 7. The t-shirt worn by Rahul Gandhi during the march is now the centre of controversy. The Burberry T-shirt worn by him is priced at Rs 41,257. The BJP's Twitter handle shared a picture of a t-shirt with the price and a picture of Rahul Gandhi wearing it. The picture was captioned 'Dekho India'.
Congress quickly came up with a response and questioned if BJP is 'scared'. "Are you scared seeing the crowd that gathered in India Jodo Yatra? Talk about the real issues... Speak on unemployment and inflation. If we have to discuss the rest of the clothes, then Modi ji's suit of Rs 10 lakh and glasses worth Rs 1.5 lakh will also be discussed," Congress said in a tweet.
The Burberry brand that Rahul wore should be imported from abroad. The BJP's taunt is in this context.
