MANGALURU: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation(KSRTC) conductor has kicked a passenger out of the bus alleging that he was drunk. The injured passenger was admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

The conductor had a verbal argument with the passenger about travelling in the bus being drunk, after which he was kicked out of the bus. The passenger, who fell on the road, sustained serious injuries on his spine. His medical expenses were borne by the Karnataka Transport Corporation. KSRTC has suspended Sukhraj Rai, a conductor at the Puttur depot in Dakshina Kannada, following an investigation after the footage of the incident went viral. KSRTC MD has expressed regret over the rude behaviour of the conductor. He said that strict action will be taken if such incidents against the passengers continues. Sukuraj Rai, the conductor, explained that the passenger was drunk during the time of the incident and behaved in a provocative manner.
