CHANGARAMKULAM: A mother and daughter, who came to their native place for the Onam holidays, drowned in a bund in the field while taking a bath. The deceased have been identified as Othaloor native Shiny (40) and her daughter Ashcharya (13). The incident took place on Saturday morning at Pallikkarain Padinjattumuri. Seeing both of them drowning, the locals immediately pulled them ashore and took them to a private hospital in Changaramkulam. However, their lives could not be saved.
