KOZHIKODE: It has been alleged that a sterilized dog has given birth in Kozhikode. Locals said that a dog, which was brought back after sterilization, gave birth to four puppies near the Francis Road overbridge. They also shared a video of the dog and a puppy.

However, ABC Implement Officer of the Corporation, Dr VS Srishma said that this is fake news. At the ABC centre, the part of the ear of the dog is cut off after sterilizing it. The doctor said that it is not right to spread the word that the dog has given birth if the puppies come near such a dog or suckle it. She also said that the authorities will find the dog and examine it.
