VADODARA: An 87-year-old woman called Abhayam helpline and sought help from her 89-year-old husband's sexual demands. The incident happened in Vadodara, Gujarat. The old woman who called for help was bedridden. The complaint was that the husband constantly demands sexual favours and gratification from the old woman and screams at her when she refuses. Her husband is a retired engineer.

The couple had a healthy physical relationship for many years until his wife fell ill a year ago. But now the 87-year-old woman is really weak. Even getting out of bed requires someone else's help. The husband approaches her for sexual favours without understanding this. If she refuses, he hurts her. When she couldn't bear it, she told her son and daughter-in-law about it. Then they decided to call the helpline.

After receiving the complaint, Abhayam authorities visited the house and tried to counsel 89-year-old man. They tried to make him understand the difficulties his wife was going through due to his demands. The family members were also instructed to take old man to a sexologist and seek treatment.
