AHMEDABAD: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was stopped by the Gujarat police citing security concerns while he was on his way to the home of an auto-rickshaw driver in Ahmedabad. Earlier, an autorickshaw driver named Vikram Dantani had invited Kejriwal to his home for dinner. Kejriwal was on his way to Dantani's home in Ghatlodiya in another auto-rickshaw when the police stopped him.

Kejriwal was attending a rally of autorickshaw drivers in Ahmedabad as part of the AAP's campaigning Gujarat when the autorickshaw driver invited him to his home. ''Sir, I am your fan. In a video I saw on social media, you went to have dinner at the home of an auto driver in Punjab. Will you come to my home for dinner?'' Dantani asked.

Kejriwal, who accepted the invitation, asked the driver what time he should reach home and if the auto would come to his hotel to pick him up. He assured Dantani that he would come for dinner on Monday night 8 pm along with two party workers.
