THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister MB Rajesh said that committees will be formed on a district basis to coordinate the ABC project measures to resolve the stray dog menace in the state. The district administration will coordinate the implementation of decisions to resolve the stray dog menace. Decisions will be coordinated by a four-member committee consisting of the District Collector, District Panchayat President, Joint Director of Animal Welfare Department and Panchayat Deputy Director Secretary.
The minister clarified that the government will intervene in solving the stray dog menace in a way similar to its popular intervention during the times of flood and Covid.
"Strict action should be taken to remove the garbage. Meetings of owners of hotels, wedding halls, meat traders etc. should be called on a district basis. The District administration should ensure this. Garbage should be disposed of through Clean Kerala Company. Constituency level meetings should be called under the leadership of MLAs," the minister said.
