THODUPUZHA: A youth who slipped into Malankara reservoir and his friend who tried to help him have been drowned. The deceased have been identified as Kottayam natives Firdhos(20) and Amal. Firdhos is the son of SI of Kottayam East Station.

Firdos and Amal arrived in Thodupuzha with two friends to attend their friend's wedding. The police said that during their return journey, when they stopped by the bridge near Kanjar town to wash their feet Firdhos slipped into the water.
