THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran on Saturday lashed out at Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Kanam, who said that the governor is not a king, added that the governor is responding after forgetting his post.
"The governor is not the king. He is responding by forgetting his position. He is not the head of the government but an agent of the Centre," Kanam said.
"In a country with a constitution, a person can act only according to it. The governor is pretending to have some power. He does not possess any of the powers that he pretends to have," Kanam said.
Kanam Rajendran came out criticising the governor after the latter responded to the criticism raised by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan yesterday. The governor had alleged that the government was trying to defame the governorship. He also said that he would release evidence of a conspiracy against him.
