NEW DELHI: The investigating agencies got evidence that the Popular Front, banned by the central government, had close ties with a radical Turkish group. It was found that the Popular Front had links with Foundation for Human Rights (IHH).
It was also found that P Koya and E M Abdul Rahiman, members of the PFI's national executive council, were privately hosted in Istanbul by the IHH.
Another shocking fact is that the radical Turkish group is accused of supplying arms to Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda affiliates. They were accused of smuggling arms to terrorists in Syria. The emails of Berat Albayrak, former finance minister of Turkey and son-in-law of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reportedly implicated the IHH in arming Libyan groups.
Meantime, the process of sealing popular front offices in Kerala will continue today also. The popular front office in Aluva was locked and sealed by the police last night.
