NEW DELHI: The RSS General Secretary, Dattatreya Hosabale criticized the central government for high unemployment and income inequality. He was speaking at a webinar organized by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch. The criticism of the RSS leader comes at a time when the opposition is trying to corner the government on many issues, including unemployment.

In his talk, Hosabale said that 20 crore people in the country are still below the poverty line. This must be stopped. 23 crore people are still having less than Rs.375 income per day. 4 crore people are jobless. The unemployment rate in the country is at 7.6%.

He added that one-fifth of the country’s income is in the hands of 1% of the population. On the other hand, 50% of the population only has 13% of the total income of the country.

The RSS leader cited that India is now the sixth strongest economy, however, he asked if this is a good situation.

The other day, Central Minister, Nitin Gadkari also made a similar statement.
