CHENNAI: A man died after a helium tank exploded in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Ravi (35), who had come to buy helium balloons, was killed in the incident on Sunday evening. The accident happened in the market area which was heavily crowded in the weekend. A video footage of the shocking incident has been out.
The deceased youth had come to buy a balloon from a seller who was in front of a textile showroom in the Fort area of Trichy. Meanwhile, the helium tank exploded with a loud noise. Ravi who was standing near the tank died instantly due to the impact of the blast. An auto rickshaw and some other vehicles were damaged and four people were injured in the unexpected accident, informed the police. Balloon seller Nar Singh has been arrested by the police for carelessly handling the helium tank which caused the accident.

In the CCTV footage from the textile showroom near the spot, women and children can be seen running in panic, without knowing the reason of the sudden explosion. Footage of an auto rickshaw whose front side was completely damaged in the blast and other damaged two-wheelers are circulating on Twitter.
