Nothing seems to be going well for the makers of the movie ‘Adipurush’ since its teaser got released. Making things worse, a BJP MLA has come forward demanding that the movie must be banned. BJP spokesperson and MLA, Ram Kadam, has said that the movie, which is inspired by the Ramayana, is twisting the story of the epic and hence must be banned.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister, Dr. Narottam Mishra, had also come out against the movie and demanded that many portions of the movie must be removed.

Ram Kadam has not only called for a ban but also demanded that the producers of the movie must be kept away from the film industry for a while. He also added that the screening of ‘Adipurush’ will not be allowed. The film has degraded Hindu gods. Some people are twisting the facts for money and fame. And the Hindu community will not tolerate this.

The MLA’s demands came during an interaction with the media today morning.

The recently released teaser of ‘Adipurush’ has already gained widespread criticism. The main criticism was targeted against the poor quality VFX of the movie, which is said to have been made on a budget of Rs.500 crore. Comments making fun of the movie's VFX filled social media in no time. One such comment said that the rights to the movie were sold to the POGO channel.

The teaser of the movie starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon was released in Ayodhya on the banks of the river Sarayu. Some commentators suggested that the post-production of the movie was still going on and that is why the quality of the movie's VFX looked poor. The Hindi movie, which will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada languages, is directed and scripted by Om Raut.

‘Adipurush’ is slated to hit theaters on 12th January 2023. It is made for the IMAX 3d format and produced by T Series and Retrophiles.
