NEW DELHI: Two soldiers lost their lives in an accident at an army camp in Jhansi after the explosion of a tanker's barrel. One person was seriously injured. According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Naib Subedar Sumer Singh Bagaria (41) and Sukanta Mandal, both natives of West Bengal. Tank driver Pradeep Singh Yadav, a native of Sant Kabir Nagar, was seriously injured.

The accident took place on Thursday night at the army's field firing range in Babina. The barrel of the army's T-90 Bhishma tank exploded during Army's routine exercise. The Army has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
