KOCHI: In the ninth edition of Indian Super League(ISL) , Kerala Blasters FC wins the opener match against East Bengal FC for 3-1. The Ukrainian player Ivan Kaliuzhnyi scored two goals and Adrian Luna secured one goal for the team.

After a goalless first-half, Blasters dominated in the second-half. Adrian Luna secured a lead for Blasters FC at 72nd minute. Luna turned an overhead pass from Harmanjot Khabra into a goal.

At 79th minute, coach Ivan Vukomanovic introduced player Ivan Kaliuzhnyi into the field as a substitute. He scored goal in 81st minute and increased the lead. Meanwhile, East Bengal FC also scored a goal through Alex Lima. Kaliuzhnyi’s second goal in the next minute secured victory for Blasters FC.
