THRISSUR: KSRTC, in a preliminary report to the district transport officer, said there was no fault on their part in the Vadakanchery accident. According to the report, the KSRTC bus wasn't stopped and the reason for the loss of control was the tourist bus hitting it.
Tourist bus driver Jojo Pathrose said that the accident happened because the KSRTC bus stopped suddenly. Statements of passengers and KSRTC employees will be recorded today.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement RTO will submit a final report on the accident to the government today. The reason for the accident was the over speeding and carelessness of the tourist bus. When the KSRTC bus slowed down, the bus wasn't able to stop. According to the report, the tourist bus violated traffic and motor vehicle rules. The investigation found that the average speed of the tourist bus was 84 kmph.
