THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yellow alert has been declared in five districts of the state tomorrow. The alert has been issued due to possibility of heavy rain in the districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kozhikode. 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is expected in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of rain at isolated places in the districts of Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad in the next three hours. The Met Office had earlier informed that rain along with thunder and lightning is possible at isolated places in Kerala from October 9 to 11.
