With the popularity of internet banking, customers are now able to do transactions including fund transfer in seconds. But one needs to be careful while doing this. Because in this digital age, even the slightest mistakes can lead to trouble. One such mistake is transferring money to wrong account. In such cases some steps should be followed.
The first procedure is to inform the bank about the wrong transaction. One need not visit the bank for this. Just call the customer care number of the bank and inform them.
Then visit the bank directly. Write a complaint to the manager regarding the wrong transfer. A screenshot of the transaction can also be provided along with the application if required.
If the transaction has been made to another account of the same bank, then the bank will arrange the refund by contacting the concerned customer directly.
If the transaction is done to another bank, you need to visit that bank. Then, they are supposed to take action.
