THODUPUZHA: The police nabbed a middle-aged man for misbehaving with a 19-year-old girl. Jomon (47) of Muttam in Thodupuzha has been arrested. He misbehaved with the girl when she came to give insulin to his mother-in-law. The incident happened Saturday morning. Only the accused and his mother-in-law were at home at the time of the incident. His wife and daughter had gone to see a doctor. Jomon’s daughter had called the girl and asked her to give insulin to her grandmother.

The girl then came and gave insulin. When she was about to leave, Jomon told her that they are going to Gulf next week and asked her to supervise the house in their absence. He then took her upstairs to show her the functioning of washing machine. He misbehaved with her and attacked her physically. She shouted pushed him and ran outside.

On reaching home, the girl told her parents about it. The girl having serious health issues fainted. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Her parents lodged a complaint at the Thodupuzha police station. The police recorded her statement and then arrested him. He was produced in the court and remanded. He was arrested by a team led by Thodupuzha circle inspector V C Vishnu Kumar and sub inspector Baiju P Babu.
