​​​​​​KOTTAYAM: The police found 105 kg ganja while they were chasing a car that fled during police inspection. Two people were arrested by the police for their involvement in drug trafficking. The incident took place at Vettikkattumuku in Thalayolaparambu, Kottayam. Kens Sabu, a native of Karipputhattu and Ranjith hailing from Mundakayam were arrested for smuggling ganja

The police tried to stop the car coming from Ernakulam which was smuggling ganja. But the smugglers fled from the spot in a movie-style action and travelled for some distance. Meanwhile, one of them opened the door and ran outside. While the police were involved in catching him, the latter tried to drive away. The police caught him near Thalayolaparambu junction.

​​​​​​The accused tried to smuggle ganja using stickers of chocolate packets. Kens and Ranjith are being questioned by the police. The police are investigating from where they received ganja and their destination spot.
