THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An attempt to kill a woman by piercing a rope around her neck following a border dispute has landed her in hospital. The attempt was on Vijayakumari (50) at Athyanoor Maruthamkod Ward in Neyyatinkara. The incident happened at 8 pm last night. Vijayakumari, who is in a critical condition has been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital and is on ventilator. The police have taken her neighbours Aneesh and Nikhil into custody.
