KOTTAYAM: Two schoolgirls quarrelled and hurled abuse at each other in Medical college bus stand at 4.30 pm on Monday. The argument was between two girl students of Arpookara Higher Secondary school.

The incident started when a girl commented on the program held at the school yesterday. On the way to the stand for boarding the bus, the two argued on the road. Other girl students who were their friends also joined in this. The locals intervened in the incident, but they continued hurling abuses even after reaching the stand.

Gandhinagar police reached the spot after getting the information. In the incident, four girl students were taken into custody and then to the station. They were later released after calling their parents.
