PATHANAMTHITTA: Persons accused of human sacrifice in Thiruvalla have confessed to the crime. Thiruvalla resident Bhagawal Singh, his wife Laila and Perumbavoor resident Shihab committed the murders.Police Commissioner SH Nagaraju said that a brutal murder had taken place and that the investigation is centered on agent Shihab.

Range IGP Prakash responded that the preliminary assumption is that a human sacrifice had taken place. He added that only after the post-mortem will it be clear how the murder took place. The murders took place in June and September. The investigation team will look into whether more people were victims of human sacrifice. Rosli, a native of Thrissur Vadakancheri, and Padmam, a native of Kadavantra, were killed. Both are lottery sellers. Rosli came to Kaladi to sell the lottery. Rosli and Padma were acquiantances of Shihab.

Shihab aka Rasheed, who had created a fake Facebook account in the name Sreedevi, got acquainted with Bhagawal, a traditional therapist. Then he made Bhagawal believe that there is a Siddha named Rasheed in Perumbavoor and if he can satisfied him, then will be financial prosperity. Shihab also gave him a number. There are also reports that when Rasheed came to their house, he had sex with Bhagawal's wife in front of him. Rasheed had told the therapist that if he did this, he will be more prosperity. He added that sacrifice would bring more wealth and he would bring women for it. Rosli was lured to be sacrificed saying that there is a need for an actress in a pornographic film and if she would be given Rs 10 lakhs on doing so.
