DYFI, the youth federation of CPM has raised questions regarding the human sacrifice in Elanthoor, Pathanamthitta. The organization in their Facebook post asks how such acts, which we were used to hearing only from North Indian villages, took place in Kerala. Cases where religious belief turning into superstition and transforms into a social evil like this should be viewed with caution. The organization stated that the poor people need to be freed from the hands of such spiritual fraudsters and superstitious propagandists, for which DYFI is going to launch a campaign.
