THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The complainant said Eldhose Kunnappillil MLA came home in an inebriated condition and assaulted her. She said that when he thrashed her in Kovalam, he told police that she is his wife.

‘The case is true. When lodged the complaint first at the women’s cell, they asked me to give the complaint to commissioner as it was a case against the MLA. Following that, the complaint was given to the commissioner and after that the Kovalam police summoned me. Reached the police station on October 1. As it was pooja holidays, the police sought time. They later informed me to come on the 7th. They delayed the case saying that the circle inspector was not in station. Many tried to settle the case. Not saying their names. Eldhose MLA offered Rs 30 lakh to withdraw the case. Initially he offered Rs 20 lakh in front of the circle inspector. He threatened to trap me in a honey trapping case and threatened saying that he has a video in his hand,’ she said.

‘He assaulted me on September 14 in Kovalam. The locals who saw this informed the police. He told police that he is a MLA and addressed me as his wife. He reached home and assaulted me again. The MLA himself took me to Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital. The MLA reached home in an inebriated condition on the day the incident happened and got into a fight with me. He threatened and took me to Kovalam. I got acquainted with him through my friend and his personal assistant. We became friends recently,’ she clarified.
