KOCHI: All the three accused in the human sacrifice case in Elanthur has been remanded for two weeks. They will be shifted to the district jail in Kakkanad.

The court has directed to send Bhagawal Singh and Shafi to the district jail in Kakkanad and Laila to women’s jail. I am suffering from depression, has blood pressure and is taking medicine for it. The court remanded them after this. The remand report said the murder was following superstition.

The accused committed the crime following the provocation of Shafi. The FIR has been registered making Shafi as the first accused. It has been proved that Shafi had committed crimes in Kaladi earlier. The police informed the court that the previous activities of the accused need to be probed and for that need them in custody. The police informed that some more scientific evidence needs to be collected before taking the accused into custody.
