WAYANAD: K A Elizabeth, a woman circle inspector of Panamaram station in Wayanad who went missing, has been traced in the capital city. She went missing when she went to Palakkad for court duty on Monday. Police said that she was in the flat of her friend, a retired woman sub inspector in the capital city. She was traced Wednesday morning. A police team led by Mananthavady DySP was investigating the complaint as soon as she went missing.

The police had obtained information that the circle inspector who went for court day to Palakkad from Wayanad had reached Palakkad. She was the circle inspector of Alathur Station in Palakkad two years ago. Elizabeth, who left for court evidence duty to Palakkad Fast Track Special Court from Panamaram Station, had not reached the court. She last spoke to grade sub inspector and said that she is in Kalpetta bus stand. However, the police started a probe when she failed to reach the court. Soon her two phones including her official one were found switched off. A special investigating team from Mananthavady started a search in Palakkad following information of Elizabeth reaching Palakkad. The police investigated whether she, who had health issues had sought any medical treatment. Meantime, the reason for her missing is not clear. The family were also not ready to divulge anything about it.
