THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Wednesday said that if MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly is found guilty in the abuse complaint filed by a teacher, he will be expelled from the party.
"Congress will not set up any commission to investigate. Eldoshe has been asked for an explanation. On receiving the explanation, action will be taken based on the case.", he said.
Meanwhile, the complainant revealed to the media that Eldhose Kunnapilly MLA got drunk and beat her up at her house. The woman also said that when she was beaten up in Kovalam, and told the police that she was his wife. "The MLA harassed me in Kovalam on the 14th of last month. Locals who saw this called the police. After that, he told the police that he is an MLA and I am his wife. After going home, he abused me again", she said. The teacher also alleged that the MLA himself took her to Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital for treatment.
The Kovalam police had registered a case against the MLA on charges of kidnapping and assault. A case has been registered under IPC sections 362 (abduction), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault woman to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (criminal act by several persons with same intention).
