PATHANAMTHITTA: More information has come out in connection with the human sacrifices in Elanthoor, Pathanamthitta. According to the police, Shafi and Laila had planned to kill Bhagwal Singh so that the murder of Rosly and Padma, who were offered as human sacrifices, would not be revealed. The remand report also stated that the accused committed the murders to appease a Goddess. The accused took Padma to Elanthoor by offering her Rs 10,000. They lured Rosly by offering her Rs 10 lakh to act in a blue film.

It was Shafi who killed Padma. Rosly was murdered by Laila. Both of them were stabbed in their private parts with a knife. The Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court remanded the accused till October 26. Muhammad Shafi is the first accused. Bhagwal Singh and Laila are the second and third accused in the case.

Earlier, Kochi City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju that Shafi was a psychopath and addicted to sexual perversion. "Shafi is the main planner of human sacrifice. He planned, implemented and ensnared women. Shafi was taken into custody and interrogated, but he did not cooperate", he said.

"Shafi studied only up to the 6th standard. He is addicted to sexual perversion. There is no place in Kerala where Shafi didn't go. He is a psychopath. He delights in cruelty. There are about 10 cases against him in the last fifteen years. The investigation reached Pathanamthitta through scientific investigation. Since 2019, Shafi has been in contact with Bhagwal Singh. Bhagwal and Laila obeyed everything he said. The couple has no criminal background. The accused have confessed to the crime. But I don't think they feel guilty. It will be investigated whether more people are involved in the case. It is reported that the accused have eaten human flesh. Evidence is being collected in this regard.", he added.
