KOCHI: The remand report of the police has clarified the heinous nature of human sacrifice in Pathanamthitta. Bhagwal Singh and his wife Laila killed the two women lottery sellers to appease the Goddess. It was the main accused Shafi who killed Padma. After murdering her, the accused cut her body into 56 pieces and buried them. The accused showed the police the place where the body was buried.

Rosly was killed by Laila. After this, Bhagwal Singh chopped off her breast. The report makes it clear that all three accused were equally involved in the heinous crime.

Police have also recovered a book on black magic from Bhagwl Singh's house. The postmortem of Rosly and Padma was not completed today. The action will continue tomorrow. The police stated that the accused ate the flesh of the victims. The accused have confessed to the crime. However, they have not expressed any remorse, the police added.
