KOCHI: Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly’s wife has filed a police complaint stating that the woman who raised abuse complaint against him has stolen his phone. As per the complaint, it is alleged that the woman is using social media for insulting activities against MLA. The complaint has been registered in Kuruppampady police station in Ernakulam.

Meanwhile, MLA has not yet responded to the complaint. Both his phones are switched off. Eldos has approached Thiruvananthapuram Sessions Court for anticipatory bail. The court has adjourned the case to Saturday. MLA’s move is to stay away until the anticipatory bail plea is heard.

KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Wednesday said that if MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly is found guilty in the abuse complaint, he will be expelled from the party. ‘Congress will not set up any commission to investigate. Eldoshe has been asked for an explanation. On receiving the explanation, action will be taken based on the case,’ he said.
