ADOOR: Muhammed Riyas (26) of Shafi Manzil in Mundapally Parakoottam, nabbed is the main link in the sale of MDMA. The police nabbed three people who are small scale traders of MDMA. When they were interrogated, the special investigation team reached to Riyas, suspected to be the wholesale dealer of the drug in the district. More than nine grams of MDMA were recovered from the four accused including six grams seized from him.

A DANSAF team led by narcotics cell DySP K A Vidyadharan jointly with Adoor police led by Adoor DySP R Binu took Riyas into custody from his paternal uncle's house in Parakot with the help of the cyber cell. Though he tried to throw the MDMA wrapped in underwear to the next plot and destroy it, it was seized.

Riyas, a B Tech graduate, was about to fly abroad for a job. After procuring one gram of MDMA for Rs 6,000, he will place it in two covers and then sell the stuff for double the price. A team including DANSAF sub inspector Aji Samuel, CPOs Mithun K Jose, Binu, Sujith, Akhil, Sreeraj and Janamaithri beat officer Anurag Muraleedharan led by Adoor DySP R Binu nabbed him.
