PATHANAMTHITTA: Amid the shocking reports of human sacrifices in Elanthoor, relatives of a woman, killed eight years ago near the house where sacrifices took place, suspect that there is a mystery. The body of Sarojini (60), a native of Nellikala, was found on the roadside in Ullannoor in Pandalam. She was found bleeding from wounds all over her body.

Sarojini's dead body was found on the roadside on September 14, 2014. There were 46 wounds all over the body. Most were on her hands. One hand was found severed. Blood was completely drained from her body. Now, Sarojini's relatives have become suspicious in the context of human sacrifices in Elanthoor. Sarojini's house is one and a half kilometers away from the house of Bhagawal Singh who performed human sacrifice. Her son alleges that the body was found bathed. The case is currently being investigated by the Crime Branch.

The news that human sacrifice took place in Pathanamthitta was reported on October 11. The accused Bhagawal Singh, Shafi and Laila have been remanded for two weeks. Bhagawal Singh and Shafi were shifted to Kakkanad District Jail and Laila to Women's Jail. The other two accused did the act at Shafi's instigation. Therefore, the FIR has been registered with Shafi as the first accused. The police have asked for the custody of the accused in order to investigate their previous activities. The police informed that some more scientific evidence needs to be collected before taking the accused into custody.
