drunk-driving

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Those who cause accidents by driving under the influence of alcohol will have to do three days of compulsory social service at trauma care and palliative care centers. This is in addition to fines and license suspension. This decision came from a high-level meeting chaired by Minister Antony Raju.

The license will be reinstated only after three days of training at the Driver Training and Research Centre at Edappal. Drivers of contract carriages, route buses and goods vehicles who violate the Motor Vehicle Act will also be sent for training.

Strict action will also be taken against two-wheelers who illegally install horns and modify vehicles' appearance. Vloggers who promote dangerous driving will also be caught.
