KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a car driven by her mother. The deceased has been identified as Mariam Nazeer, daughter of Engapuzha native Nazeer and Lubna Febi.

The car hit Mariam when her mother tried to move the vehicle forward. Mariam was sitting on a step in front of the house at the time of the accident. Although the child was rushed to a private hospital, she could not be saved. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of Medical College, Kozhikode.
