THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall for the next five days. Following the warning, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for various districts for the next five days. The IMD has asked people living in hilly areas, which have received heavy rains in the past days, to remain alert. It also issued warnings to people living in low-lying areas, river banks and hilly areas prone to landslides.

Today (October 14)- Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Palakkad and Malappuram
Tomorrow (October 15)- Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod
October 16- Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Palakkad
October 17- All districts except Kannur and Kasargod
October 18- All districts except Kannur and Kasargod.
