CHENNAI: A senior police officer in Tamil Nadu has courted controversy after he posted a nude picture with a female police officer on a WhatsApp group. The complaint has been raised against Trichy Deputy Superintendent of Police Vasudevan. It is alleged Vasudevan had sexually exploited many women and taken their nude pictures.

Vasudevan had accidentally posted a nude picture with a lady police officer in a Whatsapp group of police employees on May 19. Although the police officer immediately deleted the photo after realizing his mistake, the screenshot of the photo circulated widely on WhatsApp. Following this, the lady officer lodged a complaint against the DSP.

She said that despite lodging complaints against the police officer twice, no action was taken against him. Following the new complaints, a departmental inquiry has been initiated against the officer.
