ETTUMANOOR: Pradeep, the accused in the case of injuring his wife at Ettumanoor in Kottayam, has ended his life. The body was found in a rubber plantation in Arikkara near Uzhavoor. Pradeep was on the run after severely injuring his wife Manju on Friday.

His body was found Sunday afternoon. Initial reports said the body is two to three days old. It is believed that Pradeep may have taken the extreme step soon after hacking his wife.

Pradeep severed the hand of his wife and also slashed the fingers of her other hand on Friday morning at Kanakary in Kottayam. She sustained serious injuries on her head also.
