MUMBAI: A husband stabbed a man who asked sexual favours from his eight-month pregnant wife in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Panvel City police have arrested the husband of Asha worker in the incident. The victim, Kamlakar Bhagat, a resident of Takka village in Panvel had demanded sexual favours from the woman in a phone call. When her 35-year-old husband came to know about this, he stabbed Bhagat.
Last Wednesday, Bhagat sought the number of the Asha worker, a native of Panvel, while visiting a health centre. The woman gave the number thinking he was an official of the Panvel Municipal Corporation Hospital. Later, Bhagat called her and demanded sexual favours by offering money. The infuriated woman warned him not to call her again and informed her husband about the incident. She had recorded Bhagat's call on her phone.
After hearing this, her husband got angry and went in search of Bhagat. Bhagat worked as a peon at the Cooperative Bank in Panvel. The husband reached there and stabbed him with a knife. Then he surrendered to the police. Bhagat was critically injured and is currently undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital in Vashi.
