THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive widespread rain in the next few hours. Various parts of the state, including the eastern regions, are likely to receive isolated rain.
A cyclonic circulation is currently prevailing in the Southeast Arabian Sea near the Kerala coast. Another cyclonic circulation will form over the North Andaman Sea by tomorrow. The IMD said that this is likely to reach the Bay of Bengal by Thursday and strengthen as a low-pressure region. As a result, the state will receive heavy rain in the upcoming days.
