VADAKKANCHERRY: The accused has been arrested in the case of beating a relative to death. Vadakkancherry Kumaranellur native Malik Ahammed (24) was arrested by police. He had earlier attacked his relative Kumaranellur native Ibrahim (62) in a drunken stupor.

Vadakkancherry police had registered a case against Malik based on the attack on Sunday and the investigation was undergoing. Ibrahim, who suffered serious injuries in internal organs, died while undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College. Then the police arrested the accused on charges of murder. The accused was produced in the court after collecting evidence and was remanded.
