THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Social activist Daya Bai, who was on hunger strike over endosulfan issue, has ended it. Ministers Veena George and R Bindu reached the general hospital and met Daya Bai. Both the ministers gave her water and she ended her strike.

Minister Veena George told Daya Bai that we can achieve these things together. Minister R Binu told her that she can call her any time and has all the support.

Minister Veena George said the government is taking a sympathetic stance towards the victims of endosulfan and their families. Clear discussions were held on endosulfan victims. It was given to them in writing. On the basis of saying that there are some ambiguities in it, contacted the striking panel and Daya Bai. The minister added that the matters discussed on the basis of it have been made clear.
