THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Wednesday lavished praise on Shashi Tharoor, who lost the Congress president election. Sudhakaran said that Tharoor maintained dignity in the competition. He said that he has no animosity towards Tharoor and believes that the party will give him the position he deserves.

"Tharoor did not hurt anyone even with his words. Congress will go ahead by including Tharoor. It has been proved that the election system of the party is good. Others are shocked after seeing this," Sudhakaran said.

"If there is an election, one will win and one will lose. It is natural. We are neither happy nor sad that Kharge won and Tharoor lost. We are happy that a democratic election was held," he added.
