NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of the Lavalin case again. The bench chaired by Chief Justice UU Lalit stated that the petitions will be considered at the end of November. Therefore, the new Chief Justice DY Chandrachud will decide which bench will consider the case.

DY Chandrachud will take over as Chief Justice on November 9. Lavalin case has been moved 33 times since it came to Supreme Court. The CBI appeal against the acquittal of Pinarayi Vijayan, former energy secretary K Mohanachandran and former joint secretary A Francis and the petition of the accused who were directed by the High court to face trial are under the court’s consideration.
